### About Olly Dundas

Olly Dundas is a London-based freelance photographer, videographer and lighting director with a particular focus on fashion and editorial imagery.

He studied photography at Falmouth University before beginning his professional career as an assistant to renowned portrait photographer RANKIN. Olly spent three years working alongside him, gaining experience across a variety of high-profile photographic productions.

### Industry Experience

During his time assisting RANKIN, Olly was selected to travel to Los Angeles and work as one of two set photographers for Germany's Next Top Model. His experience also includes assisting with photography involving the 2025 Grammy Award winners and directing lighting for a number of Hunger Magazine productions.

Since moving into freelance work, Olly has continued to collaborate with established photographers, creatives and publications. His work has included projects alongside Jack Bridgland, RANKIN and Holly McCandless Desmond, with clients and publications including Mowalola, Rolling Stone and New Wave Magazine.

### Lighting & Production

Lighting is a significant part of Olly's skill set. He has experience designing and managing lighting setups across a variety of photographic environments, from location shoots to large-scale commercial studios.

His production experience allows him to work with photographic sets of different sizes and requirements, contributing both creatively and technically to the overall visual outcome.

### Personal Photography

Alongside his commissioned work, Olly maintains a personal photographic practice exploring the contrast between calmness and disorder.

He uses techniques such as intentional motion blur and dragged shutter speeds to create images that sit between physical movement and emotional expression. His subjects are often presented as confident while retaining a sense of vulnerability.

This distinctive approach, combined with his composed working style, has led to collaborations with artists including Annahstasia, Freddy Forbidden, Jelani Blackman, Kenan Kián and Louis VI.

### Fashion, Editorial & Creative Work

Olly's work spans photography, videography and lighting, with a strong interest in fashion, editorial and artist-led projects. His combination of technical lighting experience and an experimental photographic style allows him to contribute to both commercial productions and more creatively driven projects.
